When I realised that my double-garage flat roof was in a sad state of repair, with the graveled surface covered in a layer of moss, and damp seeping through on the inside, it was time to go about having the roof stripped and completely re-done. From the quotes I was given, I decided to accept that given by Crossley Roofing.
I was impressed by four factors: 1) the professionalism and speed with which the survey was conducted, 2) the easy and clear way the printed quote was then presented, 3) the very competitive price to be charged, 4) the new surface was to be in a Firestone EPDM Rubber roofing membrane, which carried a 20 year written guarantee.
Soon afterwards the work was successfully completed and I was highly delighted with the result. Andrew and his team arrived each day at the time promised, and quickly got down to work with an impressive thoroughness. At every stage of the work each step was obviously planned with impressive lack of time wasting.
The skip, to take away the debris, arrived when it was needed, and was taken away so as not to clutter the garage entrance for longer than necessary. One expects a great deal [of] dirty rubbish when such a large area is stripped of tarred felting, gravel, moss, and old type decking, both inside and outside the garage, but the whole area was cleaned to perfection.
The roof area of the garage is now so much more pleasing in appearance, and has added to the value of the house. I am so pleased with every aspect, bar none, of the way the work was carried out that I am to ask Crossley Roofing to carry out further work in the near future. This company is to be highly recommended in my book, and I have no problem in passing on this judgment to others.
