Referral scheme terms
You get paid when they pay.
Last updated:
These terms govern the Quooro referral scheme: what you have to do to earn commission, what you earn, and when it is paid. They apply from the moment you join the scheme. Nothing here is a projection or an average — it is the rules the system actually runs on.
1. You only get paid when the customer pays us
You get paid when they pay. That is the whole scheme in one line, and everything below is detail. A commission exists only once the business you referred has actually paid Quooro. Nothing earns you anything before that happens: • An enquiry or a lead earns nothing. • A free preview site earns nothing, however much work went into it. • A quote, a proposal or an invoice we have raised but not been paid earns nothing. • A customer who cancels before paying earns nothing. Your dashboard reflects this. A referral that has not paid shows £0 against it, not an estimate and not a projection, because an estimate of money nobody has sent us is not an amount you are owed.
2. What counts as a qualifying referral
A referral qualifies when all of the following are true: • The business is new to Quooro — not an existing customer, and not one already in a conversation with us when you introduced them. • They pay their first invoice in full. • They are not you. You cannot refer your own business, your own second account, or a business you own or control. • The referral is attributed to you under section 7 below. Deliberately excluded Leads, free previews and unpaid quotes never qualify, no matter how many of them you send. Nor does a customer who pays and then successfully charges the payment back or is refunded — see section 6. One referrer per customer A customer belongs to one referrer. If two people claim the same business, section 7 decides which, and it is not shared between them.
3. What you earn on a first order
Your rate on a referred customer's first paid invoice depends on how many of your referrals have paid over the lifetime of your account: • Starter — 1 to 4 paid referrals — 10% of the first invoice they pay • Pro — 5 to 9 paid referrals — 12.5% of the first invoice they pay • Partner — 10 or more paid referrals — 15% of the first invoice they pay Tiers are not backdated A new tier applies to the referral that moves you up and to every later one. Commissions already recorded keep the rate they were created at. Your dashboard shows the rate each commission was earned at for the same reason: an amount you have been told you are owed should not change afterwards. Counted on payers, not on referrals The count is of referrals who have paid. Forty leads and no payers is the starting tier. A worked example A referred business buys a package at £849.99 and pays it. At the 10% starting rate, your commission is £85.
4. The recurring bonus
Where a referred customer takes a monthly subscription, you also earn 10% of what they pay each month for their first 6 months. At every tier The recurring bonus is 10% whatever tier you are on. Tiers move the first-order rate only. Same rule as everything else Each monthly bonus is earned when that month's payment is received. A month they do not pay for is a month you do not earn on, and a subscription that ends inside the 6 months ends the bonus with it.
5. What the business you refer gets
The business you introduce gets 10% off their first order. It is not taken out of your commission. Your rate is applied to what they actually pay, and the discount is Quooro's side of the introduction rather than yours.
6. When commission is approved, and when it is paid
The 14-day hold A commission is recorded as soon as the payment arrives, and becomes approved 14 days later. That is a refund window, not paperwork: a card payment can be reversed well after it settles, and commission paid on money that goes back out again is a debt rather than an earning. During the hold your dashboard shows the commission as held, with the date it clears. Refunds and chargebacks If a payment we have paid commission on is refunded or charged back, the commission is reversed. If it had not been paid out yet it is simply cancelled. If it had, the amount is carried forward as a negative adjustment and taken off your next payout — we do not rewrite a payout you have already received. The £25 minimum Approved commission is paid out once your approved balance reaches £25. Below that it stays on your account and carries over; nothing expires. The floor exists because a bank transfer has a cost per transfer, not because the money is less yours. How you can be paid • UK bank transfer • Quooro account credit You choose your method, and your bank details, on your referral account. Keeping them correct is your responsibility; we cannot pay a transfer into details that do not resolve. VAT and tax Commission is paid gross. Whether you owe income tax or VAT on it is between you and HMRC, and Quooro does not deduct either. If you are VAT registered, invoice us and we will pay the VAT on top.
7. How a referral is attributed to you
Your link and your code Your referral account carries a unique link and a short code. Either one identifies you: the link when somebody clicks it, the code when somebody types it on an enquiry form or reads it down the phone. 90 days A click on your link is remembered on that person's browser for 90 days. If they come back and buy inside that window, the referral is yours, even if they arrive directly the second time. Last code wins If somebody arrives through more than one referrer's link or code, the most recent one before they become a customer is the one credited. It is a single choice, not a split. What the record ends up being Attribution is recorded when the referral is created. Clearing browser data, using a different device, or entering somebody else's code later can all change who a business is attributed to, and we cannot reconstruct a click that was never recorded. Not allowed Paid search on Quooro's brand terms, spam, unsolicited bulk email, impersonating Quooro, promising anything on our behalf that is not on our website, or self-referral. Any of these can end your participation in the scheme and forfeit commission arising from them.
8. Changes, ending, and the bit that does not change
We may change the scheme Rates, tiers, thresholds and rules can be amended. We will give notice before a change takes effect, and the current terms are always the ones on this page with the date at the top. Commission already approved is always honoured A change to the scheme never reaches back into commission that has already been approved. Whatever the rates become, what you have already earned is what you are paid. Ending your participation You can leave at any time. Approved commission is still paid out, subject to the £25 minimum. We can suspend or end an account for the conduct in section 7, or where required by law; if we do, we will say why, and commission earned honestly before that point is still paid. Independent, not employed Taking part does not make you an employee, agent, partner or representative of Quooro, and does not entitle you to make commitments on our behalf. Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions Email support@quooro.com. If you think a commission is wrong, say which referral and which invoice — every commission is recorded against a specific payment and we can check it.
