Why now
We used to say no to this.
When we started Quooro we only built new sites. Taking on somebody else's code meant weeks of reading before the first safe change, so we turned that work away and suggested starting again.
The way we work has changed. We can now read an unfamiliar site from end to end, whoever built it and whatever it was built with, understand what it does, and change it without breaking what already works.
So a website that is slow, dated or fragile no longer has to be thrown away. Most of what you paid for last time can be kept.

The code
A zip file, a Git repository, or the login to wherever it is hosted. Whatever a previous developer left behind, however tidy or untidy, is enough to start from.
The platform login
For a WordPress, Shopify or similar site, an admin login does the same job. We work on a copy first, so the live site keeps running while we do.
Just the address
Some builders never let you take the code away. Then we rebuild from the live site itself: the pages, the words, the images and the structure, on code you own from then on.

Security audit first
Before we change a line, we audit it.
We scan the code for security vulnerabilities: libraries and plugins with published flaws, passwords left in the code, forms open to injection, pages anyone can reach. We measure the site's speed and look for waste. Then you get one structured report of what we found, how we would fix it and what each fix costs, so you decide what the upgrade includes.
This is not a penetration test.
We read your code and its configuration. We do not try to break into your live site.
