04Quooro Desktop

It keeps itself current.

An installed application that has to be re-downloaded by hand ends up three versions behind. This one checks, verifies and updates itself — and refuses anything it cannot verify.

Updates

Checked, verified, installed

It asks, rather than being told

The app checks a published manifest for a newer version. Nothing is pushed at your machine.

It will not install what it cannot verify

Every release is signed, and the app holds the public half of that key. An installer that is not signed by Quooro is refused — including one served from an address that looks right.

No dialog in the middle of your work

The check is quiet. You are told there is a new version; you choose when it restarts.

Notifications from the operating system

A new ticket, a paid invoice, an order on the board — raised by Windows itself, so it reaches you when Quooro is behind three other windows or minimised to the tray. In the browser those same events are a toast nobody sees on a screen nobody is looking at.

Links that open the app

A quooro:// link — in an email, a notification, a message from a colleague — opens the right screen in the installed app rather than a fresh browser tab that asks you to sign in again.

An update you did not have to think about, a notification that reaches you when Quooro is not the window in front, and a link that opens the right screen. Quiet things, all of them.
